Candle making originally began as a way to take care of my mental health at a very stressful time in my life. I had just relocated from the Midwest to California with my toddler son when suddenly the pandemic hit. Safe & reliable childcare became nearly impossible when the schools closed down, & I was serving as an essential healthcare worker in the emergency department. I quickly realized that as a single mom, I needed to find a way to work from home like other parents were able to. So I turned my candle making therapy into a business, & Ambitious Vibes Candle Co was born. One of the things that got me through each day was surrounding myself with positive words. This is why each candle has a back label with an empowering message written by myself, & inspired by the many difficult times in my life that I have survived. This is something I know many other women can relate to. I want my candles to be someone else’s positive words that they surround themselves with.
